What is the Failed to Attend tile?

The Failed to Attend feature tile shows the percentage of Failed hours (excluding Unblocked Diaries), Hours Failed and Number of Patients Failed over the reporting period.

If more than one practice is selected, the Hours Failed percentage, Hours Failed or Patients Failed shown, is an average of the selected practices over the specified date range.

What are the definitions?

  • Hours Failed (FTA) % – Excluding Unblocked Diaries: Number of hours Failed (FTA) divided by Hours Available excluding hours from days which have no booked appointment hours.

  • Unblocked Diaries: Any open diary without a single appointment for the day as shown on the MPC Action Today dashboard.

  • Hours Failed (FTA):The total number of hours due to FTA appointments, that were not reused with other appointments.

  • Patients Failed (FTA): The number of appointments classed as Failed To Attend (FTA) for this period.

What sources are used?

The appointment diary in your patient management software.

Run the data in the MPC Appointment Diary (Performance Reports) and Appointment Analysis By Period report (Performance Reports).
