Definitions may vary between Dentally, Exact and MPC.

Below is a full explanation of the term 'New Patient' on each system.

What is the MPC Definition?

A New Patient, as defined in MPC, is a patient that has had their first completed appointment date which has at least one treatment item completed on the course of treatment.

🚨 Important to remember: A patient that has an appointment for a consultation but no completed treatment item is not considered a New Patient on MPC.

What is the Dentally Definition?

When a patient becomes active (i.e. the patients record is created on Dentally), the patient becomes a New Patient.

What is the Exact Definition?

A patient becomes a ‘New Patient’ when the New Patient box is ticked on the patients record.
