How to Access the Dentist Portal Admin
To access the Dentist Portal Admin you would need to have access to the MPC Practice Admin Manager.
Once you have selected this you would then select Dentist Portal Admin
Here you will be able to see the list of the clinicians that have access to the Dentist Portal.
How to add a new Dentist Portal User
Click on the Add Dentist Portal User button at the top of the page
Complete the information with the clincians details as below:
Please ensure that you tick the boxes to make User Active and Email Verified. Once Create User has been selected the clinician will receive an email to activate their login by creating a password and logging into the Portal.
At this stage you will need to allocate the dentist to a clinic from your Practice Management Software. To do so you would select the edit button alongside the clinicians name found next to the red bin icon.
You will then have a pop up box that will give you the option to select the practice and the clinician to allocate to this login. You will be able to select multiple practices if the clincian works in more than one practice. You should ensure you select the box to confirm that the provider should be allocated to the email provided as they will be able to access the data for this provider in the Dentist Portal.
Once a practice is allocated to the clinicians profile they will then be able to access the information on the Dentist Portal. If a clinician starts to work in a new practice or stops working in another you will also be able to edit this here.
How to edit a Dentist Portal User
Next to the clinicians name on the Dentist Portal Admin you should select the edit button which is the first icon of the four available.
Once selected, the edit user pop up will show. You will be able to edit the name of clinician, the username, email, language (this also gives you the option to change the currency view on the Portal if other than English is chosen), and apply a new password if required by the clinician to gain access. To apply the changes please select Save Changes.
How to delete a Dentist Portal User
If a clinician leaves the practice or business and should no longer have access to the Dentist Portal this should be completed as soon as the clinician leaves the practice.
To do so, you would select the red bin icon next to the clinicians name on the Portal Admin.
Once this has been selected you will have a pop up to confirm deletion of the profile.
How to review the Dentist Portal Users
On the Dentist Portal Admin you are able to see how many of the total allocation of Portal Users have been assigned, how many total users you have, how many active users you have, how many have not logged in and to review the deleted list.
You are also able to search for a Dentist by using name, username or email to access a specific clinicians profile efficiently.
You also have the option to export the list as an excel sheet should you want to review the users with this method.
On the Users list you will also be able to view the last time the clinician has logged into the Dentist Portal
