How to use NHS DAF Indicators Local Area Team & Group

Understanding adding Quality Indicator Averages.

The NHS Dental Assurance Framework (DAF) Local Area Team (LAT) Quality Indicator values can be added to give a full overview on reporting.

The DAF Quality Indicators report (accessed from the Practice Management dashboard) contains the NHS England quality indicator averages but the Local Area teams can vary the quality indicators. This form allows the practice to enter the Local Area team averages for comparison in the DAF report.

How do I add Quality Indicator Averages for my practice?

Practices are provided with their DAF indicators from the Local Team at the NHS healthboard.

  1. Click Edit.

  2. The Quality Indicators Form will open.

  3. Input the average values for each treatment.

  4. Click Save Indicator Values.

How do I add Quality Indicator Averages for the group?

The DAF report allows the practice to set its own averages and compare against actual. To add group or practice averages:

  1. Under Group Targets, select Click Here to add group targets.

  2. Input the targets.

  3. Select Save to save all input values.
