How to Use the Appointments by Payor Type Report

A help guide on the Appointment by Payor Type Report and how to track appointments and hours worked over a selected period

This report provides a summary of the number of appointments and hours worked within a selected date range. Users can apply filters to view data specifically for patients with certain payor types (e.g., NHS or Private).

The layout mirrors the format of the Appointment Analysis Report and includes the following fields:

By default, data includes all payor types. Selecting NHS or Private filters the report to only include appointments for patients under the chosen payor category.

A graphical section below the table displays a line chart showing trends over time for selected metrics, such as Patients Seen and Hours Worked.

  • Select Start and End Date

  • Select Practice(s)

  • Select Provider(s)

  • Select Payor Type

  • Select Individual Practice or Summary of Selected Practices

  • Select Daily, Weekly or Monthly

  • Click Created Report

  • Date: The reporting period date. If the data is grouped by week or month, each row represents that entire period. For daily grouping, each row represents a single day.

  • Days: Indicates the number of calendar days the row covers (e.g., 1 for daily).

  • Patients Seen: The count of valid appointments that were booked and attended (excludes cancellations and failures).

  • Hours Worked: The total number of hours allocated to valid, completed appointments.

Report Parameters

  • Report by Individual Practice: Choose whether to show data per selected practice or as a combined total for all selected practices.

  • Daily/Weekly/Monthly Report: Defines the level of aggregation for the data (daily, weekly, or monthly).

  • Payor Type: Filter by patient payor type β€” All, NHS (UK), or Private.

  • Date Range: Sets the time period covered by the report.

  • Practices: Select one or more practices within the group to include.

  • Dentist: Select one or more providers to filter results by dentist.

  • To download a copy of your report you can use the Export Data button to download a CSV spreadsheet.

  • You can use the Print button in the top right as needed.

  • To set up automation of the report you can use the Schedule Report button.
