How do I set KPI Targets?

Setting KPI Targets

Written by Lily Hunt

What are KPI Targets?

KPI Targets let you set performance benchmarks at group, practice, or provider level. Once set, they appear on your Custom Dashboards colour-coded with Red–Amber–Green (RAG) status so you can monitor performance at a glance.

How to set KPI Targets via Practice Setup

  1. Click the settings cog icon in the top-right corner.

  2. Select Practice Admin Manager.

  3. Select Practice Set Up.

  4. Select KPI Targets.

  5. Click Add new KPI target.

  6. Enter the KPI name.

  7. Select the level: Group, Practice, or Provider.

  8. Enter the KPI Value — this is the Green/target threshold.

  9. Enter the Amber Value — the warning threshold (should be below the KPI value).

  10. Enter the Effective From date.

  11. Click Submit.

💡 Top Tip: You can view, edit, and archive existing targets from this same screen.

Setting KPI Targets via Custom Dashboards

KPI targets can also be set directly from within a Custom Dashboard:

  1. Go to My Dashboards > Custom Dashboards.

  2. Choose a template and click Create Dashboard.

  3. Click the blue link in the notification banner to open KPI Target setup.

  4. Click Add new KPI target and complete the fields as described above.
