This guide explains how to enter and manage net monthly values for capitation dental plans so your reporting reflects accurate income and performance.

🚨 Important: You need admin rights to input the values.

What are Net Monthly Values?

Net monthly values represent the actual monthly amount a practice receives for a capitation dental plan after deductions. In other words, it’s the true take-home value of a plan per patient per month — not the headline price.

The net monthly value typically deducts the plan provider administration fees.

Example

If a private plan costs £20 per month and there is a £2 plan provider admin fee, the:

  • Gross monthly value: £20

  • Net monthly value: £18

£18 is the amount the practice actually receives each month per patient. This is the net monthly value.

Important to Know

  • Net monthly values should always be kept up to date

  • Incorrect values can impact financial reporting

  • If you are unsure of the values, confirm it with your plan provider or practice owner.
