Dashboards are the most powerful and flexible way to turn MPC Explorer into your control panel. You can combine charts and KPI tiles into personalised views so you see everything you care about in one place. No rebuilding reports, no digging through menus. Just the numbers and visuals you need, laid out exactly how you want them.
What is a Dashboard
A dashboard is a custom canvas where you arrange multiple tiles. Each tile can show either:
A chart based on a saved Explorer report
A KPI tile showing a single metric, such as revenue, patients seen, treatment numbers or utilisation
Dashboards update automatically based on the settings inside each tile. Once you build a dashboard, it becomes your go-to view for monitoring performance.
Creating Your First Dashboard
Go to the Dashboard section in Explorer.
Click + New Dashboard.
Enter a name and an optional description.
Click Create Dashboard.
Your new dashboard is now ready for tiles.
💡 TopTip: Use clear, purpose-led names like “Monthly Practice KPIs” or “Associate Performance Overview” so it is obvious what each dashboard is for.

Saving and Managing Dashboards
After you have built out your dashboard, you can save it for later review, includign adding tags for quick find.
There are also a set of powerful pre-built system templates to get you started - from Essential KPIs to High Value Treatments.
If you make any changes to a saved Dashboard, you will see a 'Modified' pill next to the heading.
🚨Please note: Deleting a dashboard is permanent, so only remove ones you are sure you no longer use.
Exporting Dashboards
You can export a dashboard as an image or PDF for sharing.
Available formats:
PDF. Best for reports, board packs and printing.
PNG. High quality image.
JPEG. Smaller file size for quick sharing.
WebP. Modern compressed format for web use.
To export:
Click the Download icon in the dashboard toolbar.
Choose your preferred format.
The file downloads instantly.
Dashboard Filters
Dashboard charts use the filters that were applied when the chart was created.
Dashboard Filters allow you to override these settings and apply a new Date Range, Practice, or Provider across the entire dashboard..
To apply a Dashboard filter:
Click the Dashboard Filter toggle below the Dashboard heading.
Apply any filters for Date Range, Practice or Provider
Select 'Apply Filter'
All the data in the Dahsbaord will now use those new filters.
💡 TopTip: Once you’ve created a dashboard template, use Dashboard Filters to quickly review performance across different Practices or Providers without rebuilding your charts.
Common Questions
Can I add the same chart to multiple dashboards?
Yes. Any saved chart can appear on as many dashboards as you like.
Do tiles update with new data?
Yes. Tiles refresh when the dashboard loads, using their saved date ranges and filters.
Why is my dahsboard taking a long time to load?
If your dashboard is taking a long time to load, try reducing the number of tiles or restricting the filters on the charts you are using.
What happens if I delete a saved chart that is on a dashboard?
The tile will no longer be able to load that chart. Replace it with another saved chart.
Can I export a single tile instead of the whole dashboard?
Not from the dashboard itself. Open the chart or KPI in Explorer and use its export options.
How many tiles is too many?
There is no hard limit, but more than about 20 tiles becomes hard to read. Split large dashboards into a few focused ones instead.
