Benefits of using Registered Patients Summary Report

The Dental Registered Patients Summary Report provides a straightforward overview of changes in patient records over a specified reporting period. It displays the number of active patient records at both the start and end of the period (excluding inactive records), as well as the number of new records created and those inactivated during that time.

🚨 Important: It’s important to note that the start and end totals may include patients who have not received any treatment. The number of such patients is detailed separately under the 'Never Treated Patients' section below.

  • Select Date Range

  • Select Practice(s)

  • Select Report by Individual Practice or Summary of all selected Practice Report

  • Click Create Report

Category items and what they mean

  • Start of Period: The total number of active patient records for the practice as of the day before the reporting period begins, excluding any records marked as inactive

  • New patient records created: the number of new patient records created in the period

  • Inactivated patient records: The number of patient records marked inactive during the reporting period, categorised by the reason for inactivation, along with the total count of patients made inactive

  • End of Period: The total number of active patient records for the practice as of the reporting period’s end date, excluding any records marked as inactive

šŸ“ Please note: If you select an end date of yesterday or a previous month-end, additional fields will appear. These fields display data corresponding to the end date and are sourced from the Active Patients in Period Report. In the following explanation, the term ā€œcurrent month end dateā€ refers to the month of the report’s end date.

Subcategory items and what they mean

  • Active Patients: The number of patients who were not marked as inactive as of the current month end date and whose most recent completed treatment occurred within the past 24 months from that date. This count is shown separately for each payor scheme, as well as the total across all payor schemes

  • Lapsed Patients: The number of patients who were still marked as active on the current month end date but whose most recent completed treatment occurred more than 24 months before that date. These figures are provided for each payor scheme, as well as the overall total

  • Never Treated Patients: The number of patients who were active as of the current month end date and have never received any treatment. This total is shown for all payor schemes combined

Parameters

The report Parameters are

  • Date range: Defines the reporting period.

  • Practices: Allows selection of all or specific practices within the practice group.

  • To download a copy of your report you can use the Export Data button to download a CSV spreadsheet.

  • You can use the Print button in the top right as needed.

  • To set up automation of the report you can use the Schedule Report button.
